CHAPTER SIX: A LUCKY BIRD

Father, Author and Giver of dreams,
We pray today for children whose tender dreams have been destroyed – or turned to nightmares,
Whose longings have been dashed,
Whose treasure chest of hopes has been ransacked.

Jesus, Redeemer,
We ask you to restore innocent hopes and dreams,
To redeem somehow the pain of these little ones,
To plant in their hearts the seeds of a new dream.

Holy Spirit, Comforter,
Intervene in our world,
Bring to your children the fullness of life,
May your dreams for every child come true.
